We are very excited that you are interested in Language Garden Preschool and want to make sure that you have all of the information you need before scheduling your tour. Here are some of the most commonly asked questions:

What ages do you enroll?
We enroll children between the ages of 2-5 years old.

What are the hours of the school?
School hours are 8-5pm. Half day program is until noon.

What is your staff to child ratio?
The staff to child ratio is 1:4

When does school start?
School runs from Sept thru the end of July.

When can I enroll (or get on the wait list)?
Formal enrollment starts in Spring (late March) for the following school year.  We start with re-enrollment for current families and then move to families who have placed their name on our wait list.  Most families sign-up for the wait list after they have toured the school. Tours begin in October and run thru March.

Do you take children who are not potty-trained?
We take a limited number of children in each class who are not potty trained. We found out early on if we have twelve children and ten of them are not potty trained we spend a lot of time in the bathroom vs in the classroom.

Do you have a policy regarding snacks?
Our aim is to expand the palate and provide a wide variety of foods to children during our morning and afternoon snack time. (Parents provide lunches).

Do you have an outdoor play area for the children?
We have a large outdoor area (approx 40×50) which has several areas for exploration including a fruit/vegetable garden and native plant butterfly garden.
